ENSF to agitate against at DoSE

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 18 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has decided to launch a phase wise agitation in the Directorate of Department of School Education (DoSE) beginning October 23 in protest against the department’s “adamant attitude towards resolving the Maths & Science Subjects (GT) examination issue which was recently conducted on September 25 depriving the just rights of the Eastern Nagas.”

This decision, a press note from the ENSF informed, was taken during an emergency presidential meeting held on October 18 in Kohima. “The agitation will intensify until the justice is delivered,” it cautioned.

It reminded that the federation had submitted several representations to the department concerned in this issue, the latest being a 15 day ultimatum requesting the CM to intervene and re-advertise the post in line with the said notification immediately. The CM had written to the concerned Minister to rectify and comply with the notification strictly. However, even after the expiry of deadline, the department didn’t bother to redress the matter or even respond to the directive of the highest office, the ENSF said.

It meanwhile sought the cooperation from all the citizens of the Kohima during the course of agitation. It further warned that the Government and the Department of School Education will be “solely held responsible if any untoward situation arises during the period of agitation.”
