DIMAPUR, JUNE 1 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) today informed that a number of complaints have been brought to its office some businesses are taking undue advantage of the current pandemic by exponentially and unreasonably increasing the prices of essential commodities.
A press release from the ENSF appealed to the State Government and competent authorities to take proactive role and reign on its notification to prevent such unethical price rises in the state markets.
It further cautioned business person(s) taking undue advantage of the crisis to be ethical and more responsible towards the society at this time. “On this, the ENSF have also fully empowered all its six federating units to look into the matter and initiate necessary course of action in their respective jurisdiction,” the federation informed.
Meanwhile, the ENSF has appreciated the Central Nagaland Students' Association (CNSA) for extending help by providing essential relief items through ENSF to the Eastern Nagas as goodwill gesture “and to strengthen our togetherness in the fight against this COVID-19 pandemic.”
