ENSF condemns bloodshed within Eastern Nagaland jurisdiction

DIMAPUR, MARCH 30 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has strongly condemned the firing at Kiphire District on March 30, despite what it said was repeated call of the ENPO to shun from violence and bloodshed within Eastern Nagaland Jurisdiction based on the historic 18th December 2007 Tuensang Summit Resolution, which was successively reaffirmed at Kiphire Town on 13th September 2010 and on 23rd March 2012 at Tuensang Town alongwith the ENSF, ENWO, Tribal Bodies and all the warring Factions/groups.

Stating that the ENSF still upholds the declaration of the ENPO historic Resolution, a press note from the ENSF expressed dismay at the “perpetrators who had violated the same Resolution and had disturbed the peaceful atmosphere of the Region”. The Federation feels that the violation of the 18th Dec. 2007 Resolution is a direct insult and challenge to the ENPO’s proclamation of oneness and peaceful co-existence amongst the warring factions/groups of the State, stated a press note issued by Hawang T Wangsha, President and Changsang Soted, General Secretary of the ENSF.

Hence, the ENSF declared the Federation’s full support to the non-cooperation move of the ENPO towards the NSCN/GPRN (K) and directed all its Federating Units’ viz. CCSU/KSU-Khiamniungan/USSC/KSU-Konyak/PSC/YAA to immediately maintain the non-cooperation to the NSCN-K in its respective jurisdiction till further notice. The Federation also directed all the factions/groups to immediately stop violence and bloodshed within ENPO Jurisdiction without further delay, failing which if any untoward incident arises, the sole responsibility will be vested upon the violators. The ENSF also stated that it was awaiting the direction of the ENPO for necessary action.
