TUENSANG, MARCH 20 (MExN): Taking into serous consideration the malpractices that were detected during examinations, the Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation said that the misconduct of teachers and lecturers was responsible for having infused and perverted students to adapt such malpractices.
The federation therefore insisted that the teaching staffs perform their duties meticulously with a warning that no reservation would be made on those grounds and at the same time took into account the attachment of proxy teachers under various capacities in its jurisdiction strongly affirming that it would take comprehensive measures to detach all for the students’ welfare.
The ENSF termed this practice of proxy teachers as the root cause of the degrading educational system in the region and state as a whole and hence it called upon the teacher’s community (Schools and Colleges) to flow on their professional duties with true spirit of sincerity and dedication and impart quality education among the students community.
The federation further encouraged both the schools and colleges authorities within its zone to execute and initiate co-curricular activities to broaden the students mind in all aspects also informing all the institutions to follow and comply with the yearly working calendar.
The ENSF further stated that the Village Education Committee (VEC) being vested with sole power by the Government should play a distinguished role to eradicate such practices and not compromise on better education system urging the committee to keep close watch over the functioning of schools in its locality. The federation finally directed all the federating units to be vigil in all sectors particularly in educational area to boost and impart real education to the students.
