Dimapur, June 14 (MExN): Terming it as ‘a historic landmark made in the field of education sector’, the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) today said that it has received a positive response for the establishment of Engineering College/Institute Branch within the jurisdiction of Eastern Nagaland, and fully sponsored by the Royal Institute of Technology and Science (RITS). This will be a part of “ENSF Vision 2015” another milestone in the Education Sector, which is expected to be materialized by 2015. This was stated in a press note issued by Z. Throngshe, Vice President, and Honang M Jessuhu, General Secretary ENSF.
In the note, it mentioned that the ENSF official team led by the Vice-President Shahsha L. Menhahu Phom, and Assistant General Secretary Topongchuba Chang toured Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh from June 7 to 9, 2013. The Federation in collaboration with the All Assam Students’ Association (AASA) have inspected the institution infrastructures, library, laboratory etc and verified the recognition and affiliation of some of the top ranking institutions and colleges in India approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) and recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC).
The Federation also reminded all poor meritorious students of Nagaland, having requisite qualification of Cl-10+2 (Science) or equivalent diploma degree with a minimum of 50% marks aggregate, to apply under Management Quota Seats for pursuing Higher Professional degree course (Engineering & Medicine course) under Fee Reimbursement Scheme (FRS) implemented by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Under fee reimbursement scheme, students will have to pay only one time registration fee of Rs. 28000/- (for whole course) and the hostel fees of Rs. 4000/- per month. Annual course fees of Rs 35000/- per year will be managed under reimbursement scheme. Selected students will be allotted seat at the following institution: Royal Institute of Technology and Science, Vidya Groups of Engineering Institutions, Holy Mary Groups of Institutions and Global College of Pharmacy.
The following courses are available for engineering: civil, mechanical, computer science, information technology, electrical & electronics, automobile, electronics and communication, electronics & instrumental; Medicine: B. Sc nursing and B. Pharmacy. For technical courses, physics, chemistry and mathematics are compulsory and for medicine courses, biology, physics & chemistry is compulsory.
The note informed that registration and counseling forms will be available with ENSUD (Dimapur) and DUDA Guest House (Kohima).
