ENSUD for obeying traffic rules

Morung Express News Dimapur | July 16   With the objective of encouraging better traffic management and obeying of road rules, the Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union Dimapur (ENSUD) interacted with Dimapur Traffic police personnel while handing away snacks to police personnel on the field as part of the initiative. Stating that the traffic management on the roads of Dimapur has become relatively better, the ENSUD said that the day’s initiative was a gesture of goodwill towards the Traffic police personnel, who have made it possible. ‘Serve the cause’ was the idea behind the day’s event.   Pointing to the way vehicular movement has been streamlined despite the apparent difficulty, the ENSUD said it explains that the Traffic police are doing their job. Urging commuters to use the assigned parking slots, it called for respecting Zebra Crossings, which have been placed for the convenience and safety of pedestrians. According to the ENSUD, another encouraging sign has been the strict applying of the helmet rule with more number of two-wheeler riders wearing helmets nowadays as compared to the past. The ENSUD further extended its appreciation to the well-wishers, whose contribution made the day’s initiative a success.
