Kohima, September 2 (MExN): An invited lecture on entrepreneurship and skill development was organised for students of Mount Carmel Higher Secondary School (MCHSS), Kohima, on September 1.
Dr Dhrubajyoti Bordoloi, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, delivered a talk on the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, encouraging students to develop a mindset of risk-taking and problem-solving.
He highlighted the importance of an entrepreneurial mindset and discussed various government schemes and initiatives aimed at strengthening the ecosystem for innovation and start-ups and promoting sustainable economic growth.
Dr Bordoloi also stressed the importance of acquiring skills in different fields in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, saying skill-based learning could reshape educational outcomes, informed a press release from the MCHSS.
He emphasised the need for changes in the education system to enable every student to acquire practical skills and contribute to innovation and positive change in society, which he said would support the vision of a developed India by 2047, it added.
