Dimapur, August 9 (MExN): The United Sangtam Students' Conference (USSC) on Monday wrote to the power department, seeking immediate intervention and action with regard to erratic power supply in the Longkhim-Chare areas under Tuensang district. In a letter addressed to the Executive Engineer of the Department of Power, Tuensang, the USSC lamented that irregularity in supply of electricity has become a big hindrance in the development and progress of the Longkhim-Chare areas, especially for the student community who depend on it for their online classes. The USSC, which is the apex organization of the Sangtam community, urged the department to promptly deploy more engineers and employees in the area to check on the line (wire) connections and ensure proper power supply for the benefit of the general populace.
