Dimapur, May 12 (MExN): Defending champions ESA Cricket Warriors beat Blue Stars to retain the 2nd Along Memorial T-20 Cricket Running Trophy. The final of the tournament on Friday saw Blue Stars set a target of 128 runs after being put into bat. Warriors' though had little trouble getting past the target in the 19th over with 5 wickets in hand. Warriors' Aosashi (50 runs) was adjudged man of the match for his 41-ball half century. Earlier, Waheed scored 46 as Blue Star posted a decent 127 runs after being bowled in 19.1 overs. ESA’s Bashir took 3 wickets. ESA Cricket Warriors, the consecutive winners of the Memorial tournament were awarded Rs.50000 while runner-up Blue Star received Rs.20000. Blue Star’s Tejosel was adjudged Man of the Series for a consistent all-round performance and was awarded Rs.3000. He took 6 wickets and 98 runs in total. ESA Warriors' Aosashi was also adjudged Best Batsman for his score of 137 runs in the tournament while teammate Bashir bagged the Best Bowler award. Both were awarded Rs.2000 each.
