EU Kohima Science College celebrates golden jubilee

The Evangelical Union (EU) of Kohima Science College (Autonomous) Jotsoma completed its 50 years this year wherein a golden jubilee celebration is underway at the college auditorium on October 12 to 13.
Themed “Jubilation to His faithfulness”, the main speakers for the 50 years celebration are Rev. Bonny Resu, former General Secretary Asia Pacific Baptist Federation and Moatoshi Imsong, State Secretary UESI, Nagaland.
A jubilee monolith was unveiled on October 12 by Moatoshi Imsong, State Secretary UESI, Nagaland with Bokato Hesso leading the dedication. The dedication was followed by the inaugural service.
Speaking at the inaugural, Moatoshi Imsong stated that the jubilee celebration is the time of forgiveness, and seeking back to God as the true and rightful owner of one's life. Emphasizing on the jubilee theme, Imsong urged that the jubilee be celebrated with joy and rejoice in the Lord for bringing the Union this far. Imsong called upon the gathering to celebrate jubilee in the way God envision and in His will.
In his address, Lanu Tzudir, Zonal secretary UESI-NE zone encouraged the students to face the challenges in life anchored in Christ and 'to live a life worthy to be called as children of God'. Tzudir reminded that KSCJ has produced many responsible citizens which is an asset of the state, thus challenging the EU members to be efficient in their service and studies.
The inaugural service was led by Mongshai TM, President EU KSCJ with an invocation prayer by Rev. John Kamei. The welcome address was delivered by Er. Khoto Zetsuvi while special numbers were presented by the Jubilee choir and Calvary Baptist Church Phezhu Jotsoma. Dr. Lily Sema, Principal, Kohima Science College Jotsoma and Oponlumi Humtsoe also address the gathering.
The services on October 13 at 10am and evening service at 4pm will be graced by Rev. Bonny Resu as the main speaker.
