Dimapur, December 3 (MExN): Euro International School, Dimapur celebrated its 6th Annual Day on December 2 with great zest and zeal. All the students presented enthralling performances at the function, which commenced with welcome speech by the school principal, Sandeep K Jain, informed a press release from the school.
The principal urged the parents to refrain from the race of mere academic excellence and requested them to focus on different values and life skills which will prepare the students for life.
Col. Vivek Singh Raikwar (Commandant- No. 1 MGAR), who graced the occasion as the chief guest, talked about the role of schools in effective upbringing of the children. He requested the parents to focus on the overall development of the children.
The celebrations were initiated with an exclusive dual performance where a choir group of students performed a song and another group of students danced simultaneously. An astounding visual treat was presented when the LKG & UKG students performed the classical dance kathak, the release stated.
Other performances included dance to a 'Boney- M' number, Goan dance, contemporary performance, and wonderful fusion of classical Bharatnatyam performance on western music.
Apart from the performances by the children, the annual awards were presented to the students and their parents for various events that were held during the year.
