
Kohima, June 1 (MExN): The Ex-Parliamentarian Association of Nagaland (Ex-PAN) elected a team for 2023-26 session as well as organise a ‘Seminar on Health’ at Niathu Resort, Chümoukedima on May 31.
As per a release from the association, the seminar was conducted in the first session with resource persons from the State's Health & Welfare Department as well as Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms.
The seminar was sponsored by the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and Speaker Sharingain Longkumer and Minister of Power & Parliamentary Affairs were the special guest and guest of honour respectively.
In this connection, the Ex-PAN also expressed gratitude to all the officials and attendees including the NLA Speaker, Minister Kenye, Dr Kika Longkumer Joint Director SNO; Dr J Hokugha Sumi; Dr Alemwabang Aier Joint Director SNO; all the medical teams; and Livitoli Sukhalu Deputy Secretary (P&AR). The contribution of all Ex-PAN members, Secretary NLA, Secretary Department of Parliamentary Affairs and all their subordinate officials, all the medical teams and CHMIS were also acknowledged.
Meanwhile, in the second session, after a one minutes silence prayer for departed Ex-PAN members and presentation of General Secretary reports, there was nomination of new Ex-PAN team for 2023-26 tenure, including office bearers, advisors, district-incharge-cum-executives, Treasurer & special committees for Ex – PAN grievances cell.
The new team will be lead by Joshua Sumi as President; C John Konyak as Vice President; Tarie Zeliang as General Secretary and Merentoshi R Jamir as Secretary. Tiameren Aier is the new Treasurer while the advisors are Z Lohe, Nillo Rengma, Chingwang Konyak, H Chuba Chang and S Supongmeren Jamir.
Executive-cum–district Inchrarges were also formed for all districts while an Ex–PAN Special Committee was also formed with Neiba Ndang as Convenor..
