DIMAPUR, JAN 21 (MExN): Informing that during the last few years, fourteen innocent Konyak public had been killed by the NSCN (IM), the Konyak Union has asked the Chairman, Ceasefire Monitoring Cell Kohima to issue necessary directives to the NSCN (IM) to justify these criminal actions, while also demanding that the CFMC exercise the ceasefire ground rules effectively and with true spirit.
In a representation to the Chairman CFMC, the KU stated that it was extremely disappointed with the CFMC for not implementing the ground rules and in protecting the innocent and peace loving public. “Series of innocent public killings have taken place in the knowledge of the Cell authority but still your authority have not taken any initiative for protecting the innocent public lives”, the KU in its letter stated while adding that the Konyaks will no longer bear the negative attitude and action of atrocity against innocent Konyaks. The KU also made known to the CFMC that at least two “serial killings” had taken place while the NSCN (IM) Collective Leadership were physically stationed at Dimapur.
