Dimapur, Feb 23 (MExN): The Konyak Union has appealed to the Border Commission to extend by one month the period for submission of facts and reports regarding the border issue with Assam, as instructed. A note from KU president K Tingnyei Konyak assured that the organization has been endeavoring hard in “digging up old records”. However, due to the enormity of the problem, the task is still “half way”. Records are being gathered from “the elderly” and other sources, it stated and appealed that the period for submission be extended one month on grounds of the difficulties being faced in gathering the records.
