Wokha, January 12 (MExN): EYL entered the semi final of the T20 WCC in Wokha on January 12.
Due to rain, the lone match on Wednesday was played between EYL and Hurricanes CC. Winning the toss EYL chose to bat first scoring of 148 runs in 20 overs losing five wickets.
Nzanthung Mozhui of EYL scored 37 runs off 26 balls with Janbemo Kikon in 22 balls scored 34 runs (not out). Achamo Ngullie claimed three wickets for Hurricanes CC.
Hurricanes chasing the target were short of 36 runs in 20 overs, losing nine wickets.
Nchumthung Ngullie and Mhabemo Odyuo contributed 20 and 18 runs respectively but could not help the team to take down the giants. EYL’s Chumchamo claimed four wickets while Alamo Lotha took one wicket.
Janbemo Kikon of EYL was adjudged the man of the match.
Due to the bad weather the second match between LCYO and Blackcap Tseminyu was postponed to January 13.
