FAC, LFC, SCC and Public College bid farewell to graduating batches

Mokokchung/Dimapur/Tuensang, April 15 (MExN): Colleges across Nagaland, including Fazl Ali College (FAC) Mokokchung, Livingstone Foundation College (LFC), Dimapur, Sao Chang College (SCC), Tuensang, and Public College, Dimapur, organised parting socials to bid farewell to the graduating batch of 2023–26.

At Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, a parting social held on April 13 brought together students, faculty, and officials to honour the outgoing batch. 

The programme began with the reception of graduating students and the college anthem. Principal Dr I Wati Imchen commended the students for their resilience, perseverance, and commitment to learning, noting that these qualities would guide them in the years ahead. 

He reminded them that challenges are inevitable, but emphasised the importance of facing them with courage and determination, while striving to make meaningful contributions to society. 

The outgoing batch, represented by Putusosang T Jamir (BA 6th Semester) and Tasakala (BSc 6th Semester), shared their experiences and expressed gratitude for the support and memories gained during their time at the college.

In Dimapur, Livingstone Foundation College hosted its “Social Parting Ceremony” on April 14 under the theme From Campus to Cosmos, symbolising the transition of students into broader academic and professional horizons.

The programme was structured in phases, combining formal addresses, reflections, and celebrations. 

Principal Dr Samuel Longkumer encouraged students to explore their boundless potential and reminded them that their character would define their legacy, while Director Ani Yepthomi highlighted the importance of resilience, patience, and service. 

One of the key highlights of the event was presentation of academic achievement by Academic Dean, Dr. Sashirenla Mollier. Meyitir Imsong and Iviti A. Muru were named the "Students of the Year 2026," while Along Nekong was recognised with the "Best Attendance Award 2026."

Apart from other felicitations, the event also featured a series of cultural performances and reflections, concluding with a group photo session and informal interactions.

Public College, Dimapur, organised its Parting Social and Alumni Meet on April 13, creating a platform for interaction between alumni and current students.

Vice Principal A K Singh acknowledged the all-round development of students during their time in the institution and expressed confidence in their future pursuits. 

The programme included welcome addresses, musical performances, and speeches by alumni, outgoing students, and juniors, each sharing experiences and words of encouragement. 

The formal session concluded with a vote of thanks and benediction, followed by a shared meal.

Meanwhile, Sao Chang College, Tuensang, marked its 50th Parting Social for the outgoing batch under the theme Empowered to Achieve at the college multipurpose hall on April 14. 

The programme featured addresses by student representatives, musical performances, and a prayer for the graduating students. 

Delivering the keynote address, Er Chingmak Chang of the Water Resources Department urged students to look beyond conventional government employment and explore opportunities in sectors such as tourism and entrepreneurship.

He also emphasised the importance of quality education and perseverance, and highlighted the role of the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) in creating avenues for employment and skill development. 

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and benediction, followed by informal performances adding a celebratory note to the occasion.
