In yet another factional clash two cadres, Tsilise of NSCN (K) and Johnson of GPRN/ NSCN were killed when NSCN (K) attacked the Penzu designated camp at Kiphire early morning today. Sources from GPRN/ NSCN said, ENPO region has been declared as peace zone so “we are maintaining that however, our camp was attacked by 30-35 cadres of Mobile 5 operation of NSCN (K) so we retaliated and one of their cadre has also been killed and some injured” claimed the GPRN/ NSCN.
The incident which took place at Penzu designated camp started at around 3:30 am and lasted for more than three hours. Joint team of Hohos, Civil societies, NGOs, Red Cross members, Para Military and senior citizens reached the firing spot and carried both the dead body which was later handed over to the family members. Interacting with this Correspondent, law enforcing agencies claimed that the situation is peaceful in the district. So far officials from NSCN (K) could not be contacted for any claim or comment.
