Fellowship Nursing Home has now moved to Fellowship Colony. The new nursing home building, located at 125 Fellowship Colony, has eight beds and wards are under construction.
Its shifting base from Duncan Bosti to Fellowship Colony on Tuesday, February 5, is a “homecoming of sorts,” said Dr Lanusungkum Jamir who manages the nursing home.
It may be noted that Fellowship Colony was named after the Fellowship Nursing Home, set up by Dr Temsu Jamir in 1978. It was the first nursing home to be established in Nagaland State.
Dr Temsu played a pivotal role in the growth and development of Fellowship Colony as one of its Council’s founding members and first chairperson.
He passed away at the age of 85 in March last year. His son, Dr Lanusungkum, has been running the nursing home for some years now.
