FGN bids adieu to late Vatsühi

Dimapur, February 4 (MExN): The "belated funeral service" of late ‘captain’ Vatsühi Thira, FGN of Kikrüma was held today at local ground
Kikruma.
The service was started with scripture reading and prayer by Thenuzuhu Puro, head deacon of Kikrüma Baptist Church followed by laying of wreaths by Kikrüma Village Council, VDB, Women Society, Youth and Student bodies along with FGN representatives and individual.
A press note received here today stated that short speeches were delivered by former home minister Thenucho, Naga Students’ Federation President Mutsikhoyo Yhobu, Chakhesang Youth Front President Mudovoyo Vero, Ex-VCC Kikrüma Thiyiswuyo Kezo and representative from Thepuzu village.
“The speakers of the service lauded the sacrifice made both of them while expressing that they died for the betterment of the Naga cause and their sacrifices has been recorded in the Naga history.
"The speakers also maintained that the present generation must take pride in such leaders for being the pioneers of the Naga national movement,” the note said.
It also stated that speeches on behalf of the comrades were shared by FGN ‘tatar’ Krosazu Kezo, ‘chaplee kilonser’ Khatsuno Nuh and member national defense advisory board, FGN ‘general’ Lhipelo.
The FGN also honoured the two of them with “Guard of Honour as the Naga national flag flew at half-mast at both the villages”.
The note further mentioned that the condolence message of the FGN president general (retd) Biyalie Metha was read out by the chairman of the service Kikrüma Village Council Chairman Verudo Puro while KRK president Avolie Kezo tendered the vote of thanks and pastor of KBC Dzuthohu conducted the funeral rites.
