DIMAPUR, Mar 1 (MExN): The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Southern Command, Naga Army (FGN) Maj. General S Chizo in a statement issued an Ahza that FGN Cadre Sergeant Major Kewengupe S/o Pfulhizu of Chizami Village under 13th Battalion of the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) was discharged from the active service of the Government on December 15 on the ground of his health condition. This was recommended through proper channel of the Battalion Commander of the concerned Command, it stated.
According to the GOC sources, Sergeant Maj. Kewengupe was enrolled in the Government Service on May 24. During his service, he had served the nation in various capacities with full dedication and sincerity.
The GOC further disclosed that, Sgt. Maj. Kewengupe was a dedicated soldier under his Battalion, besides all his deeds were acknowledgeable as per the report received from his 13th Battalion Commander.
“Therefore the Government has given his resigned AHZA from Government Service with full satisfaction and further wished him a prosperous venture in all his upcoming endeavours”, it stated.
