Dimapur, Dec 7 (MExN): The Chakesang Regional Council NNC today refuted the news item ‘FGN Terminates’ appearing in the local dailies on November 30 and clarified that the Trasnsit Peace Camp authority cannot terminate a ‘constitutional authourity’ of Chakesang Region.
A rejoinder issued by the General Secretary, Chakesang Regional Council NNC, Rukulhu Phuswuo, stated that the NNC is the institution of the people. The President of Chakesang Regional Council, NNC, Vekronu Dozo is ‘elected by the Chakesang people’. So also the Midan Peyu of Chakesang, FGN KL Kronu is ‘constitutionally’ approved by the Kedahge FGN, on the recommendation of the Leacy Hoho of Chakesang Region. Therefore, they are ‘legitimate authourities’ of Chakesang Region, stated the rejoinder.
It also stated that the Chakesang Region had disassociated from the Shillong Accord Peace Camp October 12, and called the Transit Peace Campers as representatives of ‘underground organisation’ who had accepted the constitution of India on their own violaton. ‘They cease to be NNC/FGN workers instantly and become Transit peace Camp authourities from that moment onwards. Gaibon Panmei is not Dy Rali Wali Kilonser of FGN but of Transit Peace Camp’, it added.
The rejoinder further stated that the Transit Peace Camp has no authourity to terminate a ‘constitutional authorit of the Chakesang Region. The Chakesang Region is functioning under the ‘authourity’ of the Kedahge, FGN, ‘Brig (Retd)’ S Singnya, therefore the Transit Peace Campers need not ‘worry or be concerned’ for the Chakesang Region but restfully live in the camp peacefully, added the rejoinder.
