Morung Express News Dimapur | November 7 The fifth Manik Bhattacharjee Award ceremony 2016 for HSLC and HSSLC toppers cum felicitation to the elders was held on November 7 at Pranab jubilee auditorium, Dimapur with President, Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI), Hokivi Chishi as the chief guest. Hokivi in his address lauded the Manik Bhattacharjee Foundation (MBF) set up in 2011 for honouring toppers in realizing Bhattacharjee’s dream of promoting education, goodwill and harmony in the society for a better tomorrow. He reminded the students that there is no shortcut to success. “Success comes only by the sweat of your brow and the amount of hard work you put in and meet failures and disappointments along the way,” he said. The DCCI president said a real achiever is one who can overcome every obstacle to reach his/her desired goal. Applauding the award recipients, he called on the gathering to appreciate the toppers who deserve every bit of the success they have achieved because they (toppers) have earned it. He also called on the toppers to continue inspiring and be inspired to scale greater heights throughout their future and bring more laurels for the state. The MBF awards the toppers (first rank) of HSSLC (Arts, Science, and Commerce) and HSLC with Rs.10,000 and Rs.5000 respectively along with citation and an emblem of the MBF every year.
