Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): There could be good news for sportspersons, and lovers of sportswear in Dimapur. One of world’s largest sportswear manufacturing companies, Fila today officially made its presence in the city with the inauguration of the showroom situated opposite Holy Cross Higher Secondary School at Circular Road here. This is the second Fila store in Nagaland owned by Zaren Odyuo and Vivito Yeptho. The first store made its entry into the State one and a half years ago in Kohima.
Dimapur is not short of apparel showrooms – international or otherwise, and the demands for international brands only seem to be increasing. “Fila being an international brand with a reasonable price tag will help cater to the needs of the people with interest in sportswear,” said Zaren Odyuo of Tribal Retails, which involves in branded showroom undertakings. Tribal Retails which also retails Adidas under its ambit has its presence in four districts in Nagaland and promote employment of Naga youths.
Zaren, who has been in the retail business for a decade now expressed that the absence of Fila showroom in Dimapur and its subsequent demand encouraged him to undertake the brand. Founded in 1911 in Italy, Fila designs ranges of sportswear for women, men and kids. The showroom in Dimapur will have apparels, sports shoes, and accessories.
The showroom was inaugurated with a prayer by Pastor Vilodi Sakhrie today.
