A financial literacy cum awareness campaign on postal services under the Dak Community Development Programme, was held at Longsa village, Wokha on December 15. The programme was organised by the Nagaland Postal Division. The programme aimed to impart awareness among the villagers on the various available schemes and services they can apply and is being offered by the postal department.
During the brief programme, Sub-Divisional Inspector, Kohima Sub Division, Rajani Jha highlighted on the aims of the programme, informing that it is conducted inorder to help the villagers address their problems to the department and seek out further information.

Development Officer, Kohima DO, Benjamin Debbarma explained the benefits of postal products, including life insurances, and outlined schemes tailored to different age groups for public benefit. He also urged the participants to trust the postal department and apply for insurance to earn its benefits.
IPPB, Wokha Executive, Ankit Kumar Jha briefed on IPPB to the participants. He highlighted on India Post Payment Bank's cost-effectiveness, easy payment management, simplicity, security, and doorstep banking. He also emphasized that Child Aadhaar enrollment is possible through IPPB. He also emphasised that IPPB is 100% digital with no discrepancies and no paper work.
District Mission Coordinator, DHEW Wokha, Dr Wonjano E Enny discussed schemes which women can apply, such as Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, simplifying the application process and urging participants to avail these government scheme benefits.
Additionally, an IPPB camp for DBT beneficiaries in schemes like PM KISSAN and Job cards was conducted during the program. The programme was chaired by Ratseno Ngullie and vote of thanks was delivered by Sharon Losu, Marketing Executive, DO Kohima.
