Dimapur, May 1 (MExN): A late night inferno at Ward 11, Chümoukedima destroyed 24 houses leaving at least 90 people homeless on May 1. There were no reports of injury to people. According to eye witnesses at the site, the homes belonged to labourers who worked at a stone crusher in the area. The cause of the fire which broke out at around 8:00 pm is yet to be ascertained. It was reported that fire fighters were able to bring the fire under control at around 9:30 pm.
