Staff of FCI, Mokokchung imparted with fire evacuation cum mock drill activities on July 8.
Mokokchung| July 8 (MExN): A Fire Evacuation cum Mock Drill activity was jointly organised by the Divisional Office, Food Corporation of India (FCI) Dimapur in collaboration with at FCI-Food Storage Depot, Mokokchung.
The mock drill was conducted as part of the department's effort to ensure the safety of the Food Storage Depots located in various parts of the country and to ensure that the food security of the nation in general is not in threat in case of any untoward incident.
The fire drill was imparted to the staffs, security personnel, labourers and truck drivers of FCI Mokokchung by the officer-in-charge of Fire Station, Mokokchung.
The objective of the drill was to check the operational readiness of the fire safety appliances located in the godown and to impart safety and precautionary measures in using the fire safety equipments in event of fire or other emergencies, informed Rongsen T Imsong, Depot in-charge, FCI-FSD Mokokchung.
