Fire guts 4 shops in Dimapur

Four shops were gutted by a fire, suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit, in Dimapur on August 6. The shops, mostly built of wood and bamboo, were situated in a row adjacent to the half-Nagarjan traffic point. 

According to the Fire & Emergency Services, fire fighters responded to the scene immediately after information was received at around 2:30 pm. It took around half an hour for the fire fighters to control the flames. There was no report any casualty.  

The affected businesses included a mattress shop, photo frame shop, bicycle repairing shop and a poultry shop.
