
DIMAPUR, OCT 31 (MExN): The First Naga Missionary Conference shall be held from 11th to 13th November, 2005 at Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (new building, Duncan), organized by the Nagaland Missionary Movement. A press communiqué issued by Dr L. Anjo Keikung, Director, Nagaland Missionary Movement (NMM) informed that it would be the first time in the history of Nagaland Church and Missions, that all Naga missionaries commissioned and sponsored by churches, Associations and missions under NBCC and other likeminded churches and missions in Nagaland “shall come together for worship, sharing, prayer and renewing of our commitment to the task of world evangelization in obedience to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. We once again invite all Naga missionaries to the Conference.”
Except Registration fee of Rs. 100/- food will be provided free to all delegates.
Registration will be from 10 AM onwards on 11 November 2005 at the conference venue.
“The Field is the World” is the theme of the Conference. Rev. Zhabu Terhuja, General Secretary, Nagaland Baptist Church Council shall deliver the keynote address.
Rev. P.Bonny Resu, General Secretary, Asian Baptist Federation shall deliver gospel message on “The Scope of World Evangelization”; and Rev. Dr. Ellis Murry, General Secretary, Supreme Task International, shall speak on “Called to be a Missionary”.
Rev. Dr. Phuveyi Dozo, Director, Overseas Ministries India, and Rev. Dr. N.Toshi Ao, Secretary, Indian Institute of Missiology shall present papers on “Paradigm Shift in Missions” and “World Missions: A Historical Perspective” respectively.
Rev. Dr. Imotemjen Aier, Missionary, BIM shall give Exhortation; and Rev. Alemmeren, Missionary, Antioch Mission, Hong Kong shall give a “Reflection on NMM Ministry”.
Greetings and Field Reports shall be presented by the missionaries and chaplains.
A separate session shall be held for the missionaries/chaplains for mutual reflection and renewal commitment to face the new challenges in missions.
On Sunday November 13, 2005, the missionaries will attend various local churches in Dimapur for sharing of field experience and burdens and for preaching the Word.
“This is a God given opportunity for the Naga missionaries and sending/sponsoring churches/missions to come together to pray and plan together to fulfill our commitment to the task of world evangelization. We request all believers to pray for this missionary conference”, Dr Keikung stated.
