Barak beat Prime FC; Native Feathers stun NASA; 
Puiteing blank NZSA; Lekie Mtei thrash Benreu FC

Peren, October 8 (MExN): Barak FA, Native Feathers, Puiteing FC and Lekie Mtei FC have won their respective matches on Saturday at the ongoing first Peren District Football League (PDFL) 2022 organised by Peren District Football Association (PDFA) at Jalukie ‘B’ village ground.

The update on the league received here stated that playing the first match of the day, Barak FA defeated Prime FC 1-0. Barak FA who overcame one of the season favorites Native Feathers on Thursday came even stronger with its captain Kenumdi making several attempts to open its account in the early minutes of the game and dominated the first part of the game.

Prime FC on the other hand made it to the goal keeper area of the Barak FA making way to find the back of the net could Barak made no mistakes to allow Prime FC to score. A lone winning goal was scored by Chrakung of Barak FA in the 19th minute.

The game became more intense as Barak FA continued to keep striking while Prime FC tried to come back for the equaliser.

Native Feathers stunned Nsong Area Sports Association (NASA) 5-1 in the second match. Dominant took control of the first half, however, they missed several shots on target. The first goal came through the boots of Lungmedau of Native Feathers in the 40th minute. Khiuwangbo Kaurintah scored in the 57th and 86th minutes. Khankinwi added another goal in the 59th minute. In the 70th minute of the game, Heluingim scored a solitary goal for NASA. Khankinwi of Native Feathers then added another goal for the team in the 71th minute which was enough to seal the victory.

In the third match, Puiteing FC blanked Northern Zeme Sports Association (NZSA) 4-0.

Puiteng FC has maintained its winning streax and is topping the League points table. Puiteing missed major chances to score in the first 20th minute of the game. NZSA also made several attempts from the defender line of the Puiteng FC yet Puiteng defenders has given no way for them in the first 25th minute. Wibonjibou of Puiteng scored a couple of goal in the 41st and 42nd minutes of the game.

After the breather, Paolenngam added two goals for Puiteing in the 63th & 65th minutes.

In the fourth match, Lekie Mtei FC thrashed Benreu FC 3-0. Both the teams failed to register a goal in the first 40th minute of the game. Right before the breather, Lekie Mtei found the back of the net in the 43th minute through the boots of Hainsiugongbe Kenn from a penalty kick. In the second half, Lungneuying of Lekie Mtei doubled it in the 60th minute.

Lekie Mtei FC striker, Haileuyibe Iranggau, the top scorer of the League missed chances in the early minutes of the game, but managed to score in the 71 minute.

Benreu FC also missed opportunities to open its account and had to concede a defeat.

Earlier, EAC Wiridin graced the day-4 opening match as the chief patron.
