Wokha, July 22 (MExN): Out of 59 samples collected, 5 were detected positive with COVID-19 during random testing conducted at five locations in Wokha on July 22.
The District Task Force (DTF) in collaboration with the medical department conducted the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) testing to contain, assess and take steps to stop further spreading in the community in view of a surge of COVID-19 cases in the district, a DIPR reported informed.
The testing were conducted in Wokha village, Rachan colony, Techeyiro colony, Chanka and Police Reserve.
Earlier on July 20, random testing was also conducted at Vankhosung Mission Compound and APMC area, where 39 samples were collected. All samples turned out to be negative, the report said. Further, RAT will also be conducted in Longsa village on July 23 and the DTF has requested all the villages to extend co-operation and come forward for the testing, it added.
