Kohima, July 31 (MExN): Five students who excelled in the recently conducted High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) will be accorded the 2021 Mayangnokcha Awards for Academic Excellence by the Mayangnokcha Award Trust (MAT).
Keneino Thorie (Trinity School, Kohima), Atula W Mongro (Nagaland Christian Residential School, Mokokchung), Yimyatetla Longkumer (Holy Cross Hr Sec. School, Dimapur), Vibeli K Achumi and Tiamaong Aier (Don Bosco Hr Sec. School, Dimapur) are the recipients of various categories of the awards being conferred by MAT.
Specific toppers from HSCL Examinations conducted by NBSE are being given accolades for their academic excellence by the Mayangnokcha Award Trust for the last twenty-eight years. According to the Secretary, MAT, Dr Furkumzuk, the MAT established in 1993, recognizes, honours and encourages the meritorious Naga students at the High School level.
It also aims to create spirit of healthy competitiveness among the students in the field of education in order for them to bring out their best and worth, thereby improve the overall standard of education. The MAT conveyed their congratulations and best wishes for all the recipients while praying for further progress in their academic pursuits.
