Dimapur, July 8 (MExN): A book titled ‘Folktales of Wolam (Pangsha)’ authored by Putchong Thai was released by Prof. N Das, Department of English, Nagaland University at NU Kohima Campus, Meriema on June 27. Wolam Nyukyan (New Pangsha) Students’ Union (WNYSU) also attended the book release programme. WNYSU in a press release issued by its President Hangching M and General Secretary Khulem conveyed gratitude to the Department of English, Nagaland University for taking up all the initiatives even to the extent of organizing book launch. The Union also commended Putchong Thai for his “strong commencement in bringing out our rich convention from the roots through your book ‘Folktales of Wolam (Pangsha)’ and also being the first writer amongst the village. We strike a chord to keep your inspiration to explore and enthusiasm in your career.” The book will be available at Scholar Book House, Ground Floor of Khedi Market, Kohima and Eastern Computer Printing Centre, Noklak.
