A week-long football and volleyball coaching camp organized by Tuophema Village Youth & Sports Organization (TVYSO) concluded today at Tuophema Village Local Ground.
A total of 73 football and volleyball enthusiasts, including 9 female participants from the village were trained during the camp which started on January 10.
The football players were trained by All India Football Federation (AIFF) D licensed coaches namely Zakietuolie Khrodi and Thejaneilhou Mere, secretary of the Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA), Mhalevile Kere, trained the Volleyball participants.
During valedictory program, Vikeduo Seyie, president TVYSO acknowledged the Nagaland Football Coaches Association led by its president Roko Angami and the Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) led by its president Visasielie Suohu, for supporting the camp.
He informed that the camp was a “grand success” as the local youth has largely benefited through the camp.
The camp came to a conclusion after TVYSO press secretary and team Coach for Tuophema Village Neingutuo Rio, announced that 34 participants have been selected to represent the Village in the forthcoming 30th Northern Angami Sports Association Group-D (NASA-D) sports meet, scheduled for January 18-22.
18 football players and 16 volleyball players made it to the list.
