DIMAPUR, AUGUST 7 (MExN): Forerunner FC is a Club of the 4th NAP Battalion Thizama and will be participating in the upcoming Kohima Football League 2017, being organized by the Kohima Town Club. The 4th NAP Bn was raised on October 15, 1968 and has been continuously making an effort to promote football. With this purpose in mind the 4th NAP Bn started participating in various tournament since its inception. The 4th NAP Club was rechristened to Forerunner FC in the year 2014. With the initiatives of unit officers, the club is striving forward to promote discipline, sportsmanship qualities to the younger generation and public relation through sports in societies. Some of the achievements of the Club are: Royal Gold Cup –Runner-up -1988; Royal Gold Cup –Runner-up -1989; Royal Gold Cup –Runner-up -1991; NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy –Runner-up- 2003(Skipper Club); NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy –Runner-up- 2016.
