Forest Beat Office at Khezhakeno inaugurated

Nagaland Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Village Guards Minister CL John inaugurated Forest Beat office at Khezhakeno in the presence of MLA Dr Neisatuo Mero on April 24. 

Addressing the gathering, the minister said that the establishment of Forest Beat Office at Khezhakeno will be the first line of defense against forest fires, illegal activities, poaching and other treats to the forest ecosystem.

He also sought cooperation from the stakeholders of Khezhakeno and neigbouring villages.

The minister acknowledged Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio for his unwavering support and commitment for progressive development in the state.

Also speaking on the occasion, Dr Mero said that Khezhakeno is a legendary village which have been attracting many tourists.

It is also a strategic point of entry and exit as it borders the state of Manipur.

Dr Mero and stressed on the need for rapid development especially in road sector to boost tourism industry in the state.
