DIMAPUR, FEB 24 (MExN): The Tangkhul public, reminding of the need to forgive and be forgiven, has called for ceasefire among the various Naga underground groups to pave way for reconciliation. A Tangkhul Naga Long public meeting held on February 22 reviewed and deliberated at length the current situation in respect to the ‘Quit Notice’ served to the Tangkhul community by the NSCN-K and resolved on several points. “We forgive others so also we appeal others to forgive us” stated a point as given in a statement issued by the organization through its president Stephen Angkang. Making this appeal for reconciliation, the public meeting appealed to the NSCN-K to revoke the ‘Quit Notice’ issued to the Tangkhul community.
