Foster’s FC, Sporting Club, EIMI United & Naga Terriers win

Our Correspondent Kohima | November 6 Foster’s Football Club, Sporting Club, EIMI United and Naga Terriers today won their respective matches at the Kohima Local Ground to move into the last-16 of the 23rd Classic Cup. Organised annually by the Classic Club, Kohima, the tournament’s theme this year is ‘Creating a better world through football’   A brace from Avilie Tsükrü ensured win for Foster’s FC over Seiyhazou Hill Boys FC 2-0. Tsükrü also created a ‘fastest goal’ tournament record striking within the first minute of play. The second goal came in the 22nd minute.   Sporting Club prevailed over Dejavu FC 6-5 in the tie-breaker after the match was deadlocked 0-0.   EIMI United blanked Veracious FC 2-0. Lalminhao got the lead in the 12th minute followed by Janghao scoring the second in the 42nd minute.   Naga Terriers also blanked United Kimhoma Youth FC 4-0. Khampai Konyak scored the first and second goal in the 11th and 25th minute.
