Dimapur, July 15 (MExN): The Chakhesang Region of the NSCN (IM) has reaffirmed its support for the outfit's collective leadership and reiterated its commitment to the Framework Agreement, the Naga national flag, the Yezhabo (Constitution) and the cause of Naga integration.
In a statement issued on July 15 by Chakhesang Region secretary Mhaseleo Rhakho, the region said it was reaffirming the declaration adopted on July 15, 2025, in which it had extended its "unwavering support and confidence" to the collective leadership comprising President Q Tuccu, Vice President Tongmeth Wangnao, Ato Kilonser Th Muivah and Deputy Ato Kilonser VS Atem.
The region said the collective decision and mandate adopted at the meeting remain valid, binding and representative of the will of the Chakhesang Region.
It maintained that unity, mutual trust and collective responsibility are indispensable in advancing the aspirations of the Naga people and asserted that it stands firmly behind the Framework Agreement while remaining committed to safeguarding and upholding the historical and political rights of the Nagas.
Reaffirming its support for the Framework Agreement, the Naga national flag, the Yezhabo and Naga integration, the statement said these principles embody the collective aspirations and identity of the Naga people and would continue to guide efforts towards an honourable and inclusive political solution.
The Chakhesang Region also appealed to all national workers, leaders and the Naga public to rise above individual differences and work together in the spirit of reconciliation, understanding and national unity.
It said that at this crucial juncture in Naga history, collective commitment and unwavering dedication to the common cause are essential to secure a future that honours the sacrifices and aspirations of the Naga people.
