Four new model degree colleges for Niuland, Noklak, Shamator, Tseminyu

Kohima, July 5 (MExN): Nagaland Higher Education & Tourism minister Temjen Imna Along, virtually laid the foundation stones for four New Model Degree Colleges at Niuland, Noklak, Shamator, and Tseminyu under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA) project on July 3 in the presence of Amit Singh, Section Officer, Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education, along with the PM-USHA/ RUSA consultants and team, Sentiyanger Pongen, Additional Secretary & State Project Director, RUSA/PM-USHA, Ruokuosatuo Yhome, Project Officer (PM-USHA), Tol Pucho, Assistant Director, HE and Chubalepshi Jamir, Executive Engineer, PWD (Housing), Higher Education Division, Kohima.

The virtual programme was also attended by Sarita Yadav, Secretary, Higher & Technical Education and V. Lovitoly Sema, Additional Secretary, Higher & Technical Education & Ex-Officio Director, Higher Education, Nagaland.

The establishment of these four New Model Degree Colleges marks a significant milestone in strengthening higher education infrastructure across Nagaland.
