DIMAPUR, AUGUST 13 (MExN): The Dimapur Police in collaboration with the Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers Union will be extending public service on August 15 with free auto rides for the public and police personnel attending the Independence Day celebration at Dimapur and Chümoukedima. A press release from Dimapur Police informed that 200 autorickshaws will be stationed at several locations from 8:00 am onwards for free pick up and dropping from various locations to DDSC Stadium or Chümoukedima public ground. The pick up points are Chümoukedima gate 1 and gate 2, 7 Mile junction, Chümoukedima-Purana Bazaar highway stretch, Railway Station, Railway gate, Burma Camp area, Blue Hill/Eros Lane, Notun Basti, New Market, Lengrijan Junction (Imli Ghas), Notun Bosti, Thahekhu village, Nagarjan/Kuda village area, and Rangapahar/Kashiram area. Dr Naieem Mustafa, IPS, DCP, Dimapur will flag off the initiative at Ajay Petrol Pump near DDSC Stadium at 7:30 am.
