Dimapur, October 4 (MExN): Vision for Change, Dimapur, conducted a free basic baking training programme for 145 trainees at Lufemy Baking Centre, Duncan Bosti, Dimapur, during August and September. The programme was conducted in batches from August 19 to 26, with 78 trainees, followed by batches in September involving 67 trainees.

Participants received hands-on training in the preparation of bakery products including cakes, cookies and buns. The training also covered baking techniques as well as food hygiene and safety practices. According to Vision for Change, the programme was aimed at helping participants, particularly unemployed youth and people from weaker sections of society, acquire practical skills for employment, self-employment and entrepreneurship.

The organisation expressed gratitude to the trainees, donors, sponsors, well-wishers and supporters who contributed towards the programme and subsidised baking courses. Vision for Change also stated that it plans to conduct similar skill-development programmes in the future. It encouraged interested persons to follow the Lufemy Baking Centre Instagram page for information on free and subsidised courses.
