Free medical camp at Monyakshu

Mon, June 1 (MExN): A free medical camp was held successfully at Monyakshu village under Mon District on May 31. The camp was organized by the Village Health Committee along with the Administration Monyakshu Hq with technical support from the CMO Mon and Eleutherous Christian Society.  

The team was led by Dr Nyamnyei konyak, MO, PHC Angphang and Dr Tova, MO, PHC, Longphang along with other technicians and nurses from PHC Longphang and Changlangshu.  

EAC Monyakshu Hq Sentilong Ozukum informed that Monyakshu village in spite of being one of the biggest villages under Mon District is yet to have a Primary Health Centre and most of the poor patients do not have the resources to go to Mon town which is more than 130 km away for treatment.  

The EAC has extended appreciation to the CMO Mon and ECS Tuensang for their untiring support to provide basic health care in the sub division. This was the third successful health camp in the region in the last couple of months. In a press release, Phaiba Konyak, President Monyakshu Village Students Union extended appreciation to the EAC Monyakshu Hq for his relentless effort to improve health, sanitation and education under Monyakshu subdivision. He also thanked the CMO Mon and ECS for their generous help.  

A total number of 217 patients registered for the camp and administered treatment and free medicines.
