Free prosthetic camp in Dimapur on April 2

Dimapur, March 6 (MExN): The Shree Digamber Jain Charitable Clinic, Dimapur has informed that the Free LN 4 Prosthetic Camp has been postponed to April 2. 

In a press release, the SD Jain Charitable Clinic Secretary Narendra Jain informed that so far, a total of 31 beneficiaries (25 from Nagaland, 5 from Assam and 1 from Telengana) have registered for the camp which will be held at SD Jain Charitable Clinic, from 8:00 am onwards on April 2.

The release informed that the LN 4 Prosthetic Hand which is made in the USA is a light-weight, easy to use and maintenance free prosthetic which enables a person to do normal activities like driving, farming, drawing, cooking etc. Anyone who has an arm of 4 inches (10 cms) below the elbow can benefit with this LN4 hands, it said, while adding that the clinic is providing the prosthetic limb free of cost to all the needy. 

 Further, it said that any one from the north eastern states can register for the camp. “Those who wish to register their name may kindly WhatsApp the photo of the person with hand along with the name, address, phone number, age to Narendra Jain, Secretary, S D Jain Charitable Clinic Dimapur in 9436002161 and Praveen Patni, Joint Secretary, in  94360 13482,” it informed.

 The last date for registration is March 17 and registered beneficiaries should reach the venue by April 2, 8:00 am. It also informed that the clinic will provide food for the beneficiaries.

This camp is being conducted in association with Rotary club of Calcutta Presidency, Kolkata and National Career Service Center for Differently-Abled, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India while the cost of the camp is being sponsored by Hukamchand, Prabhatchand, Anil Kumar, Sarita Devi Tongya and the Tongya family, Dimapur, it added.
