Kohima, January 19 (MExN): The Directorate of School Education, Nagaland, Kohima has announced that the distribution of free textbooks for 2025 will commence on January 23 from the Dimapur Godown. According to a release issued by Thavaseelan K, Principal Director of the Directorate of School Education, the distribution schedule has been arranged in phases for different Sub-Divisional Education Offices (SDEOs) and District Education Offices (DEOs) across the state.
On January 23, textbooks will be distributed to SDEO Kohima and SDEO Chiephobozou. This will be followed by SDEO Dimapur, SDEO Peren, and SDEO Tening on January 24. The schedule for January 25 includes SDEO Shamator, SDEO Noklak, and SDEO Tobu, while January 27 will cater to SDEO Mon, SDEO Tizit, SDEO Wakching, and SDEO Aboi. On January 28, the distribution will cover SDEO Tuensang, SDEO Longkhim, SDEO Meluri, SDEO Kiphire, SDEO Seyochung, and SDEO Pungro.
January 29 will see textbooks delivered to SDEO Dhansiripar, SDEO Chozuba, SDEO Zunheboto, SDEO Satakha, SDEO Aghunato, and SDEO Atoizu. On January 30, the distribution will include SDEO Medziphema, SDEO Phek, SDEO Pfutsero, SDEO Wokha, SDEO Tseminyu, SDEO Sanis, SDEO Pughoboto, and SDEO Bhandari. The final phase on January 31 will cover DEO Niuland, SDEO Mangkolemba, SDEO Mokokchung, SDEO Chantongya, and SDEO Longleng.
Schools under the respective SDEOs and DEOs are advised to ensure timely collection of the textbooks as per the schedule.
