Lumami, August 29 (MExN): Nagaland University Students’ Union, Lumami (NUSU(L)) celebrated the 19th varsity campus Fresher’s Social on August 24 with NPCC President, K. Therie as the chief guest. Therie urged the students to avoid bribery, corruption, while requesting them to be honest and be true to themselves. He hoped that honest people will start to emerge from Nagaland.
Meanwhile, Prof. BK Konwar, Vice Chancellor of NU exhorted the students to bring transformation within the country. Asserting that students are responsible for a better tomorrow, he encouraged the students to popularize human values and dignity. The ceremony was chaired by Zuthungbemo K Ngullie, General Secretary, NUSU(L).
Mohammad Ali from Department of Zoology and Lemteshi from Department of Geography were announced as Mr and Miss. Fresher 2016 later in the evening session.
