Medziphema, January 28 (MExN): Frolic Club celebrated its Silver Jubilee at Local ground, Medziphema on January 28. Established in 1998, a press release stated that the club strives for unity and equal opportunity under the theme ‘achieve greater heights.’
The function was graced by Zhato Kimho, President, Chakhroma Public Organization as special guest and blessed by Rev H Minlen.
Speaking on the occasion, Zhato Kimho challenged the people of Medziphema to come out of ‘tribalism’ and work toward the social and economic upliftment of the area. Citing the slow development of Medziphema, he urged the people to be open-minded and encourage investment in infrastructure. He also encouraged the land owners to be welcoming and ‘do their part.’
Rev Megovoto Kuotsu dedicated the jubilee souvenir and exhorted the gathering. He said, “Frolic Cup has come this far because of Unity and mutual respect for each other.” This is an example that needs to be picked up by every SHG, Clubs, NGO and others in our land, he added.
Acü Seyie, Medziphema Village Council and Akhoto Miasalhou, President, Medziphema Town Mechu Krotho also spoke during the occasion. Special numbers were presented by Vimeno Dolie, Neilhoukholie Kuotsu and Neitsolewe Koza.
It may be mentioned that some of the club activities include social services and welfare work in and around the community. The club also organizes a Biennale Football Tournament since 2011 and introduced Volleyball Tournament in 2021.
