Frontline workers receive COVID-19 vaccine in Bhandari, Pughoboto, Tening

Wokha, January 19 (MExN): The COVID-19 vaccination drive for the frontline workers under Bhandari Sub-division was launched at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Bhandari on January 19.

According to a DIPR report, receiving the first and the second jab of the vaccine, medical officers, Dr Yanpothung Kithan and Dr Chumdemo Ngullie led the vaccination drive.

A total of 67 beneficiaries enrolled and vaccinated in the first phase were rested in the observation room for half an hour under close monitoring watch by Dr Chonbenthung Ezung, MO Yimpang, the incharge for Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI). Supervising the vaccine drive, Dr Lipokrenla MO, Ayush, urged the vaccinated frontline workers to continue to adhere to COVID-19 SOP for health safety of all.

Associate Pastor, 7th NAP, Wilson Lotha, launched the vaccination drive with prayer.

Pughoboto: SMO CHC Pughoboto, Dr J Hokugha Sema received the first dose of COVID vaccine in the first phase drive under Pughoboto Sub division launched in presence of ADC Pughoboto Thungchanbemo Tungoe at the CHC Pughoboto on January 19. 

Dr Visavotuo Sachu, nurses and health workers in the division were also inoculated. On the first day around 75 people registered to be vaccinated. The CHC Pughoboto also maintained waiting room, Vaccination room and observation room as per the procedure and guidelines of the government.

Tening: A total of 41 health workers received COVID-19 vaccine at Tening on January 18. There were no reports of serious adverse effects of the COVID-19 vaccine. 

On January 19, the vaccine was administered to health workers under Azailong and Mbaulwa Primary Health Centre.
