Sovima, January 27 (MExN): Dimapur today entered the final of the ongoing 2nd Late G Rio Memorial U-19 (Boys) Inter-District Tournament at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima after topping the Pool-A.
In the rain-affected match, Dimapur defeated Zunheboto by 9 wickets in reduced 20-over a side match.
Opting to bat after winning the toss, Dimapur bundled out Zunheboto in 19.3 over, with just 73 runs on the board.
In reply, Dimapur reached the target in just 10.2 over losing a wicket in the process.
Sujal Prasad 25 runs (not out), Mughavi Sumi (20) and Yugandhar – 12 runs (not out) ensured the empathic win for Dimapur.
In the earlier match of the day, Kohima defeated Kiphire by 10 wickets after bundling out the latter for 43 runs in 16.2 over and reaching the target without losing a wicket in 5.3 over.
Meanwhile, matches for Pool-B comprising of Wokha, Peren, Mokokchung and Tuensang will kick off from January 29.
Dimapur will play the final against the POOL-B topper on February 2.
