Dimapur, January 30 (MExN): Mokokchung and Wokha today maintained their unbeaten streaks in the ongoing 2nd Late G Rio Memorial U-19 (Boys) Inter-District Tournament by winning their respective league matches on January 30.
In the first match on Sunday, Wokha defeated Tuensang by 73 runs.
Batting first and scoring 221/10 in 40.1 over, Wokha bowled out Tuensang with just 148 runs on the board.
In their previous Poll-B match on January 29, Wokha defeated Peren by 38 runs, after setting a target of 179 runs and bundled out the latter for 141 runs in 33.4 over.
Meanwhile, the Mokokchung also maintained their winning streaks on Sunday by defeating Peren in the other Poll-B match of the day.
Elected to bat after winning the toss, the team set a target of 106 runs for the opponent.
However, in reply, Peren could manage to put only 62 runs in the scoreboard and lost the match by 44 runs.
Earlier on Saturday, Mokokchung defeated Tuensang by 8 wickets after restricting the latter to just 67 runs in 21.5 over.
In reply, Mokokchung reached the target in just 9.2 overs losing 2 wickets and eventually winning the match by 8 wickets.
The winner of the Poll-B most probably would be decided on January 31, when Mokokchung clashes with Wokha in a crucial match.
The winner of the Pool-A, Dimapur will play the final against the Pool-B topper on February 2.
