
DIMAPUR, FEB 5 (MExN): The Mon District GB’s Association (MDGBA) has charged the present President of Nagaland GB’s Federation (NGBF) Vikuto Zhimomi on grounds of mis-utilizing and withdrawal of funds provided for the association’s welfare. The MDGBA in a complain letter addressed to the Commissioner of Nagaland has requested the concern authority to look into the matter seriously and urged to take the necessary action against the defaulting President.
The letter stated that “the present president has withdrawn an amount of Rs 1,30,000 from the office of the Commissioner of Nagaland corpus fund but has failed to give an account of its utilization” and asked the concern to highlight on what ground the money was withdrawn and for what it has been utilized. Also the amount given by the Chief Minister, amounting to Rs. 1,00,000, for the expenses of the federation’s general meeting which was scheduled last March 28, 2006 at Wokha, was not conveyed to the general neither the utilization of the said amount was declared ‘as per usual practice’.
Whereas, it was informed that the amount was used for purchasing representatives of tribal GB’s inorder to facilitate his (the President) own re-election.
“Till date the president has not submitted any account of the collection of GB’s membership fees for the past three years amounting around Rs 7 lakhs” stated the letter while adding that present president instead of bringing cohesion among the federating units, is using the office for self interest.
